A Step-By-Step Guide for Ordering Products

Searching for a product

Choose either the “Quick Search” or “Advanced Search” facility.

To perform a search, type a keyword such as ‘hinges’ or ‘handles’, or the product code if known, into the “Search” text box at the top of the website and click the ‘GO’ button.

For a more advanced search, click the “Advanced Search” link, and select the criteria you want to search.

Alternatively you can browse the categories individually. Click on the different category names on the left of the screen to reveal the subcategories for that product type. When you find the product type you are interested in click on the name to view more details of the individual products.

If you need to go back to another group, use the back button on your web browser to go back one step.

Searching for a product

• Select a category.

• Select a subcategory.

• Select a product.

• Click on the "more info" button next to the required product type to view more details about the product.

• Edit the number of packs required by typing in the text box provided (if required).

• Select product variants if required.

• Select product add-ons if required.

• Click the "Add To Basket" button. This will add the item to your shopping basket.

• Click the "Quote Me" button to display a popup box where any request regarding large orders can be made.

• You can view your shopping basket on any page using the "View Shopping" button within the ‘Shopping Summary’ panel on the right of the screen.

• If you leave the site you shopping basket will be emptied. To save your basket for later retrieval, click on the "Save Shopping List" button on the Shopping Basket to save a quotation.


Purchasing

• Once you have selected the products you require and are ready to proceed to payment, click the Checkout button at the bottom right of the Shopping Basket page.

• Click the Next button.

• If you have not already logged in, a login form is displayed.

If you have a credit account with BuildSaver:

• Select a Shipping location address.

• Check billing information.

• Click Next at the bottom of the page.

• Select payment method.

• Enter your company Purchase Order number.

• Enter special instructions if required

• Click the "Next" button.

• The order details will be presented as order confirmation.

• Click the "Print" button.

• This can be used as your invoice.

If you have not registered on the BuildSaver Website or are paying with a credit card:

• Enter your customer details into the text boxes provided.

• Ensure you fill out the compulsory fields marked by *.

• The shipping address will automatically update to match the delivery address.

• Click the "Next" button.

• Enter special instructions if required.

• Click the "Next" button.

• The order details will be presented as order confirmation.

• Make a note of your order number to allow tracking.


Removing items from your basket

Click the "View Shopping Basket" " in the Shopping Summary section on the right hand side of the page.

• Identify the item to be removed.

• Click the "Remove" button.


Changing Quantity of Items Ordered

• Click the "View Shopping Basket" icon at the top of the screen.

• Enter a new quantity into the text box.

• Click "Update Shopping Cart" Button.


To Register as a New Customer

At the top of any page.

Click on the "New Customers Click Here” link on the right hand side of the page.

Enter your details into the text boxes provided.

Click "Continue".

Registered customers have access to additional features on the site including:

• Saving a shopping basket as a quotation for later ordering.

• Viewing and amending a saved shopping list before ordering.

• Tracking the status of previously placed orders.


Saving a Shopping List/Quotation

Within the shopping basket, click the "Save Shopping List" button.

Give your quotation a name in the pop up box which appears and click OK.

This will save the list of products that you have selected for future visits.


To View A Saved Shopping List

Log in to BuildSaver by entering your email address and password in the Sign In box at the top right of the page.

Click the "Shopping List" link within the "My Links" box.

This will present a list of quotations that you have saved on a prior visit to the site.

• Click on the name of the quotation you wish to view.

• Click “Move to Shopping Cart”.

• Make any necessary amendments e.g. to quantities.

• Click “Update Shopping Basket”

• Proceed with the order in the normal way.


Tracking Your Order

Click on "Order Status" in the "My Links" Box at the top right of the page.

Enter the order number given to you by BuildSaver. This can be found on your confirmation of order note.

Please note that to help you track your order:

• dispatched and cancelled items are listed in black.

• items awaiting dispatch are highlighted in red.
