Website

Question 1: I placed an order last week. Can I place the same order again in a more efficient method?

To do this log on as a returning customer, choose the “View Order History” option in the “My links” box at the side of the screen. Click on the order number you require to reorder. You can either select your chosen items or hit the “Select All” button and then the “Add to Basket”. This will place all the items into the shopping cart; from where one can either “continue to shop” (to place other items) or “checkout”.

Question 2: I have forgotten my password. What shall I do?

If you have forgotten your password, just click on the “forgotten password” link, enter your email address and the password will be sent to your email address.

Question 3: How can I save the items in my shopping basket to order at a later date?

Once you have logged on as a returning customer and placed the items into the shopping basket, click on the “View Shopping Basket” link visible on the shopping cart. Here there is an option “Save Shopping List” that allows you to save the items in the shopping basket for later retrieval. A prompt box will prompt the user to type in a quotation name. When you are ready to proceed with the order it can then be revisited and moved to the Shopping Basket.

Question 4: Can I edit a saved quotation in the future?

To access a saved quotation, sign in as a returning customer. Under “My Links” there is an option "Saved Quotation”. To view the required quotation, just click on the highlighted Quotation Name. At that stage, you can change the quantity of these items by clicking in the quantity text box, you can add items to the list or you can remove items from the list.

Question 5: How can I track the status of a recently placed order?

To track an outstanding order, sign in as a returning customer. Under the “My Links” box is an option “Order Status” that allows you to view the status of your orders.


Payment

Question 1: Can I get bulk discounts?

As BuildSaver was primarily set up as a trade website, the prices have been negotiated on the basis of multiple orders. However, a further bulk discount may be applicable for exceptionally large or repeat orders. For information on bulk discounts for individual products, please click the “Quote Me” button on the product details page or telephone the BuildSaver Help Desk on Freephone: 08000 517 617.

Question 2: Do you deliver outside mainland UK?

Yes we can deliver outside the UK. Please telephone our Helpdesk Freephone: 08000 517 617 for advice on surcharges before placing your order.

Question 3: I need a guaranteed early morning delivery. Is there an extra cost and how do I go about doing this?

Specific delivery times may be available. Please contact us on: info@buildsaver.co.uk or telephone us on; Freephone: 08000 517 617, for more information. When contacting us it is helpful to have the product code of the item you wish to order.

Question 4: Can I place the order over the telephone?

Yes, orders can be placed over the telephone. However the customer is advised to use the website to pay and place the order. This ensures the payment and personal details are encrypted and not held on a local.


Registration

Question 1: I am not a trade user, could I still buy online?

Although the BuildSaver website was set up for trade users, we are willing to dispatch orders to non trade customers.

Question 2: The address I have given you in my registration is different to my credit card address. What do I do?

You need to request a change of Billing Address. To do this log on as a returning customer, choose the "Edit my Account" option in the "My links" box at the side of the screen. Half way down the screen there is a section labelled "Billing Information". Clicking on "Click Here" will bring up a new screen that allows you to send the new information to the BuildSaver administrators who will change the details on your registration form as soon as possible.

Question 3: I do not have a company name, can I still purchase goods from your site?

When you complete the registration form simply leave this box empty and select “Others” from the drop down list for Company Type.

Question 4: My telephone number is ex-directory, I do not want to give it to you. Is there a way around this?

The telephone number field is compulsory, as the couriers require a contact telephone number for you in case of any difficulties delivering your order. If you prefer, you can enter a mobile number in this box. Please be assured that all information collected during the member registration is kept on a secure database. Please see the privacy policy for more details.

Question 5: I don't have an email address; can I still place an order?

As BuildSaver is an online market place we can only process orders for registered members via the website. An email address is needed for the registration process.


Security

Question 1: How does your company assure data security?

Any personally identifying information you provide to us is stored in a database to which only authorized BuildSaver employees and agents have access. For particularly sensitive information, such as credit card numbers and accounting information, BuildSaver will employ accepted transmission and storage protocols, such as encryption, in line with the requirements of Protx Secure Online Payment System to prevent this information from being disclosed. Personally identifying information is not shared with third parties (other than in the course of completing a transaction at your request or delivering email notices as indicated below), unless reasonably believed to be required by law, court order or any other such legal process. This information may, however, be used for internal data processing, such as compiling statistical information about the use of the BuildSaver website. As a service to you, we may also use this information to customize the content we offer. For more information please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Question 2: How secure is the website?

BuildSaver considers your privacy to be of utmost importance. In general, you may browse the BuildSaver website anonymously. However, certain of our online services including trade customer services require the collection of some personally identifying information, such as your name, address, and, when appropriate, your credit information. Any details you give us are stored on our database and are not shared with any third party. However it is important to note that credit card numbers are not stored by BuildSaver, as credit card purchases are handled directly through ‘Protx Secure Online Payment System’ which is a secure website.


Products

Question 1: Do the prices include VAT?

All the prices on the BuildSaver website are shown excluding VAT. A price including VAT is shown separately at the checkout.

Question 2: Please can you send me a catalogue of your products?

The BuildSaver team are adding to the product range every day and are constantly reviewing our prices to ensure you get the best possible deal. This means that a printed catalogue is not possible as the information would be out of date. If you need more information about a specific product our advisors will be pleased to help.
